Using guest data combined with reputation management, surveys, and marketing automation technology, Revinate enables hotels to better understand and engage their audiences.

The OPPORTUNITY

Revinate was in the process of building a new Customer Relationship Marketing platform that would allow hoteliers to synthesize guest data, enabling them to improve marketing and bottom line revenue through advance segmentation, loyalty program development, personalization, and enhanced guest relationships. Once the platform was built, Revinate would have to determine how to position, package, and price the new product.

The Action

Revinate engaged 1AX to collect user validation through surveying and interviewing internal stakeholders, existing Revinate Marketing users, and prospective Guest Data Management clients. We developed, executed, and analyzed a baseline survey to understand the broader hospitality industry’s knowledge and understanding of CRMs, conducted qualitative and quantitative interviews with key hotel groups on their CRM use cases and system requirements, and introduced sample pricing models to stress test methodologies with hotel decision makers in order to determine what packaging would best encourage decision makers to sign long-term agreements.

The Results

As a result of this research, 1AX was able to recommend product roadmap priorities, an increase in one-time CRM configuration fees, a number of effective sales techniques, and packaging tiers that would allow prospective users to “buy up.” And Revinate was ready to bring its platform to market.
